Specialty Motion was founded by working camera technicians who understood what productions actually need: equipment that performs flawlessly, operators who know it inside and out, and a rental house that treats every project — feature or commercial — with the same level of care.
Based in Los Angeles, we serve productions across Southern California and beyond. From intimate indie features to major studio episodics, our Filmotechnic cranes have been trusted on sets where the shot has to be right the first time.

Filmotechnic is the world leader in lightweight carbon fiber telescoping camera cranes. Their systems — including the Technoscope F17, F27, and F32 — are engineered to deliver the reach and precision of a full-size crane at a fraction of the weight, enabling setups in locations traditional cranes simply cannot access. As an authorized Filmotechnic rental house, every piece of equipment in our inventory is factory-spec, meticulously maintained, and operated by technicians trained directly by Filmotechnic.
